All of our bouldering walls and Kilter Board will be used for the competition, with categories set by age and ability. All are welcome to signup and get that metabolism up before chowing down on turkey and stuffing! Family in town for Thanksgiving are totally welcome to compete with you (or spectate).

MODIFIED REDPOINT COMPETITION

We will have 30 competition style boulders where you will be scored on your top 5 highest scoring routes.
Each route is numbered 1-30, route #1 is worth 100 points, route #10 is worth 1,000 points, and route #30 is worth 3,000 points.
Hand your score card to a Gecko Coach and you will be called when it's your turn.
Competitors will be allowed up to 5 attempts per climb during the competition.
You will be bumped up a category if you establish a Zone Hold or Finish Hold on two higher category level climbs.
Half of the possible points are awarded for establishing on the Zone Hold.
Full points are awarded for establishing on the Finish Hold.
There are less possible points awarded after each attempt.
A first attempt flash will be awarded the most points.

Gecko Youth Team Members can compete for $35!

Parents of Gecko’s youth team members can call or visit the front desk after signing up for a volunteer shift to signup their kids and have their kids' competitor fee waived! Only 16 spots are available, and this offer is first come first served!

5:45pm - 8:00pm shift

(7-7:30pm is helping Staff tally score cards)

Please consider volunteering as a Judge if you would like to attend this event as a spectator but not participate. We have a fun job for you!! We will email you a simple summary of the Judge's rules and expectations for this event, what you need to know as a Judge and how to mark a Competitor's scorecard.
